The collection includes a complete set of plans (29 blueline prints) for the St. Paul Union Depot, a set of blueprints for a bank to be located in the Great Northern and Northern Pacific Railroad headquarters building in St. Paul, and incomplete sets of plans for the Great Northern Depot and the Milwaukee Road Depot in Minneapolis.

Charles Frost was born in Lewiston, Maine, on May 31, 1856. He studied architecture for three years in several architects' offices and completed a special course in architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He became a draftsman in Boston where he worked for three years before moving to Chicago in 1882. There, he entered partnership with Henry Ives Cobb, establishing the architectural firm Cobb & Frost (1882-1889). Afterward, he practiced alone for several years until becomi...
